Present in Switzerland since 1872, BNP Paribas is a European player of reference in the country for businesses, institutions and private customers. By financing the excavation work for the Gotthard and the Simplon tunnels, the bank already played an important role within the Swiss economy in the 19th century.

The bank employs more than 1,000 people at its three sites in Geneva, Zurich and Lugano.
